A program for Romanian entrepreneurs
“Workshops for Entrepreneurs” is a program dedicated to support Romanian entrepreneurship that was developed by the Romanian Business Leaders Foundation. During May 2012 – April 2013 a team of five people defined the approach, the structure and the main activities of the program. A project manager was appointed in February 2013 to help with the implementation of the program.
The first edition took place between April and July 2013. The second edition was organized between September and December 2013. Dan Humelnicu, Managing Partner at ROSS Consultants is a member of the project team and contributed to all stages of project development and implementation.
The structure of the program is defined by 7 sessions that were called workshops. They address key topics related to the definition and undertaking of a business:
1. Vision and attitudes
2. Creativity and innovation
3. Business model and competitive advantage
4. Sales and negotiation
5. Marketing and promotion
6. Business plan
7. People and leadership
A workshop lasts one full day and starts with a training session that addresses the topic of the day from an entrepreneurship perspective. The trainers have an extended experience and can offer new and relevant solutions to the challenges faced by participants. After lunch the participants meet several Romanian business people, entrepreneurs and managers that distinguished themselves through their achievements. The speakers share their experiences with the audience and answer questions addressed to them.
The first two editions were highly appreciated by participants and as a result of that the project team started already to work on the launch of the third edition that will take place between March and June 2014.
